Amanda Barnett, a hairstylist from MA, decided to do something extra to help single moms and vulnerable families in her community. She gave 30 kids “Free Kids Cuts” to help them come back to school with confidence. In addition to that, she gave the kids backpacks, and school supplies and held a raffle for a giant arts and crafts gift basket. “It was such a blessing and amazing feeling being able to do this for you guys,” Amanda wrote on Facebook. “This little girl brought tears to my eyes! She was sooooo appreciative for being my winner of the arts and craft basket !!!” Amanda plans to hold such an event annually. She is sure that such simple acts of kindness can bring the community together and as a community, we can move mountains. h/t: FaithPot Photo: Amanda Barnett / Facebook
