Women Making History AGAIN

After a 33-year hiatus, women will now partake in one of the world’s most-watched sporting event: the Tour de France. 24 teams of six cyclists each lined up on the Champs-Élysées in Paris to start the eight-day Tour de France Femmes. The Tour de France has existed for 119 years as a men’s race with the exception of 5 years between 1984-1989. What’s more: Tour de France Femme will have one of the highest prize purses — around 250,000 euros in total — in women’s cycling racing history. This is great news for female cycling as this race is one of if not the most prestigious. ???
