A beautiful Reminder that shopping small businesses makes a big impact.
This is the moment when my phone got a rapid-fire of notifications from @etsy, and I started reading through the messages from buyers and the orders they made on #TheFloridaPrintShop. ?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Go, Flohemian, Go!” ? and “Thanks for the travel tips for our St. Augustine trip last summer. We had so much fun we forgot souvenirs, now we have those too!” ? ?? Then I just started ugly crying when I saw orders from friends from middle school and ones that I worked with at @cmaquarium, @buschgardens + @pinellascountyschools with a lifetime ago. And coffee mugs being sent to my students from Tarpon Springs High circa 2012. ? ?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There were also the orders from my internet friends that I chat with on Instagram weekly, although we’ve never met IRL. My fellow @siestakey fans out there who shared my guilty pleasure.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today was magical. I can’t thank you enough for your support of my art, my business and my whacky little dream to help everyone love Florida as much as I do. ?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m so close to hitting my weekly sales goal on opening day. But most importantly, it makes my heart so happy that people supported my art.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
