Kennison Hits Big Air Jump at X Games

Kennison made history with the first-ever Big Air jump by an adaptive athlete in the X Games. In 2014 Kennison had a snowboarding accident in the backcountry that left him with broken T-11 and T-12 vertebrae. Hitting the Big Air jump at X Games has been a dream of his for years.
Positive and courageous, Kennison is someone who leads with his heart. Just from spending a few hours with him, you can tell he is extremely passionate about skiing and being a role model for others in the sport. As his mother, Olga Pardo, said, “Trevor inspires me to be a better person, a better mom. He has beautiful energy. He passes that to me, and I pass that on to others.” For me, photographing Trevor was extra fun because it was cool to ski with a fellow Colombian American too. #natgeolife #PowerofHumans #Sharegood #Inspire
