This short touching video shows how a unique high school cheer squad is ensuring that teenagers with disabilities are included and accepted. We salute the Sparkle Effect for creating an atmosphere that allows all students to shine.
Sparkle_Effect.mp4When a particular cheerleading squad performs, they’re practically guaranteed to get a standing ovation. They’re ‘that’ good at rallying the crowd, and they’re looking to get similar squads in other high schools. The team is called the “Sparkle Effect”. Squads are made up of mentors and special needs students. There are 9 high schools participating in our state right now, but organizers hope to grow that number. http://bit.ly/1YExl0U
