Stephen Colbert contributes $800,000 to teachers in South Carolina.

According to www.newser.com:   Stephen Colbert describes himself as a product of South Carolina public schools, and today he showed his gratitude: He announced funding for every single request from his home state’s teachers on the crowdfunding site DonorsChoose. That’s good for nearly 1,000 requests from more than 800 teachers, for a grand total of about $800,000, reports Greenville Online. Colbert says the money is from auctioning the set of his former show, along with matching funds from the Morgridge Family Foundation and ScanSource.
